C.J. Spotswood, BSN, RN-BC “aka EntheoNurse” is a board certified psychiatric-mental health Registered Nurse working in an emergency department in central Maine. C.J. is a 3rd generation male nurse and has 20 years of psychiatric nursing experience. Currently, C.J. is enrolled at the University of Southern Maine completing his Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, graduating in May 2021. C.J. graduated from one of 15 nursing schools endorsed as a holistic school of nursing, at the University of Maine at Augusta for his undergrad. This curriculum included yoga, Reiki, and various other complimentary and alternative modalities.
C.J. has been researching and teaching on psychedelics since 2018, which include having presented at the American Psychiatric Nurse Association’s National Conference on psychedelics in psychiatry, teaching master classes for Psychedelics Today’s Navigating Psychedelics: Clinicians & Therapists education program, co-authored Psychedelic.Support’s continuing education module on psilocybin, and is a past presenter at the Mt. Tam’s Psilocybin Summit.
C.J. presents an accredited continuing education program entitled “Psychedelics in Psychiatry for Nurses” on his personal website. C.J. is a charter member of the International Association of Psychedelic Nurses, member of the Psychedelic Medicine Association, and the American Psychiatric Nurse Association. When he is not working or in school, he can be found spending time with his fiancé Magen and his daughter Malarie exploring Maine’s outdoors and craft breweries.
